In recent months, Norway has transferred military equipment worth about NOK 1 billion (almost EUR 850 million) belonging to the country's Armed Forces to Ukraine, Ednews informs via RBC-Ukraine.
According to the Norwegian government, the aid includes artillery shells, anti-tank weapons, deminers, and support for tank maintenance. The donations include 5,000 M72 anti-tank missiles and artillery shells used in the M109 howitzer. The donations also include spare parts.
In addition, Norway has allocated up to NOK 1.6 billion (EUR 1.36 billion) for the Czech initiative to purchase ammunition for Ukraine.
Norway also donated three deminers on the Leopard 1 tank chassis to Ukraine and allocated NOK 150 million (EUR 12.7 million) for the maintenance of Leopard tanks.
