Recent reports have confirmed the participation of Ambik Sasunyan, a known member of the "ASALA" terrorist organization infamous for the assassination of the Turkish Council in California, in Armenian protests against delimitation measures, Ednews reports.
Photographic evidence shared on Armenian telegram channels depicts Sasunyan actively engaged in the protests, sparking debate and raising concerns regarding the involvement of individuals with extremist backgrounds in the demonstrations.
The ongoing protests, under the leadership of Bagrat Galstanyan, Primate of Tavush Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, continue their march towards Yerevan, commencing from the Goyche peninsula. Galstanyan voiced vehement opposition to what he termed "unilateral concessions," emphasizing the urgent need to halt territorial losses.
Ahead of the march, Galstanyan addressed the assembled crowd, expressing deep concerns about the detrimental impact of ongoing concessions and urging immediate action to safeguard Armenian territory.
Additionally, local media reports indicate that members of the civil movement "Shirak for the Motherland" are slated to convene in Abovyan city on May 8 at 10:00 a.m. to join the ongoing march originating from Tavush district, demonstrating widespread support for the protest movement across various regions of Armenia.
