Turkish Trade Minister Omer Bolat asserted on Friday that the "uncompromising attitude" shown by Israel's government towards helping Palestinians in difficult situations in Gaza and securing a permanent ceasefire with Hamas led Ankara to take the latest measure on halting trade with it.
While updating on foreign trade figures for April, Bolat noted that exports in 54 product groups coming from Israel will be stopped until Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's administration shows a more committed position to reduce attacks on Palestinian territories, Ednews reports.
In April, Turkish exports increased by 0.13% to $19.3 billion while imports increased by 4.24% to $29.2 billion, Bolat mentioned.
